REITSPORTMESSE Giessen: Over 7,500 visitors discover equestrian sport from A to Z

Hesse's biggest horse experience ends after three days - over 100 exhibitors show a wide range of products and services for all riding enthusiasts. Informative specialist lectures and a colorful show program round off the visit to the fair.

Whether the horse needs a new saddle, a change of feed or suitable care products for a shiny coat and shimmering mane - experts were on hand at the Giessen Equestrian Sports Fair with an extensive range of products and recommendations on all these topics. But it wasn't just the animals that could be equipped with a variety of halters, saddle pads and reins. Riders were also able to dress themselves in riding breeches, helmets, accessories and much more to make the rider's heart beat faster.

The halls were full and the aisles and especially the riding rings were packed with visitors. The exhibitors were overwhelmingly positive: they reported many good conversations and praised the organization of the event. "Other organizers can learn something from this. A solution is found for every problem and the processes are well coordinated".

"We are delighted that the trade fair was well received and that we were able to increase the number of exhibitors by 10%," summarized Project Manager Vanessa Borgner. "We firmly expect the equestrian trade fair to continue to grow and would like to occupy another hall next year and expand the Western riding area in particular."

The response from exhibitors was also very positive: Some exhibitors already expressed their keen interest in participating in the fair again.

"I made such great sales this weekend and am completely satisfied that I would sign the registration forms for next year right away," emphasized Dominik Ganske, Managing Director of HEGA GmbH. The company specializes in the production of stable mirrors and was at the trade fair for the first time this year.

Start-up Lovelstar, which has already made a name for itself in the TV series "Die Höhle der Löwen", has also announced its participation for 2024. "We already generated more sales on the first day of the trade fair than the entire weekend of competing events put together. The trade fair is definitely worthwhile for us and we look forward to taking part again next year."

In addition to the shopping experience, visitors had the opportunity to find out more at the specialist presentations given by numerous experts. The topic of dental health in horses was particularly popular and filled the lecture forum with numerous visitors.

The show program with the popular riding shows made the hearts of young and old riders beat faster. For the first time: the new trend sport "Hobby Horsing" from Finland. Here, various dressage lessons are practiced with a hobby horse, jumped over obstacles and ridden in a circle. Even the youngest horse lovers can practise their skills with the hobby horse from the age of around 3.

The date for the next equestrian fair has already been set: next year, Hessen's biggest horse experience will take place from October 11-13.
